It all started when…
I began my medical career as a labor and delivery nurse and I will always fondly remember helping families in some of the most transformative moments of their lives. And of course holding new babies! Eventually I realized I wanted to do more to help people with longer term goals and healing. I decided to go back to school to become a Nurse Practitioner and graduated from the University of Southern Maine in 2016. Since graduation, I have had the pleasure of gaining unique experience working at Women to Women in Yarmouth, Planned Parenthood of New England and Age Management Center of Portland Maine.
It has always been my belief that the body is an amazingly designed, intricate system that knows how to balance and heal itself when give the best tools and support. It is my absolute joy to assist each person I work with on the pathway of healing that is most helpful for them - without judgement. It is my belief that many people have a sense of what may be contributing to any imbalances going on and as we talk about your story clues emerge to help us put together the health puzzle most effectively together. As a Functional Medicine Nurse Practitioner, I am grateful to have a frame work of health that looks at the underlying causes of imbalances instead of just chasing symptoms.
In addition to clinical practice, I have the great pleasure of teaching multiple holistic health courses at the University of Southern Maine. I often times say “I feel like I’m getting away with something” because I love sharing information about the areas of health that I’m so passionate about with students and seeing them become excited and effected by this information as well.
I thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little more, I look forward to getting a chance to get to know you soon!
